Welcome to my website!
I'm a freelance science journalist
published on Live Science, BBC Science Focus, Scientific American and more.
I retrained as a journalist after nearly a decade of working with animals. Much of my writing is about wildlife and the environment, but I cover all kinds of stories.
I have a master's degree in International Journalism from Cardiff University and a second master's degree in Biodiversity, Evolution, and Conservation in Action from Middlesex University London.
My Portfolio.
I began my journalism career at Future plc in 2020, working as a trainee news writer and then staff writer for Live Science. There I completed the NCTJ National Qualification in Journalism and Senior Journalist Apprenticeship with PA training. Live Science features heavily in my portfolio, and I continue to write for them as a freelancer.
DIGITAL
Not in the way you think
How It Works Magazine and other print publications have republished my Live Science stories, translating them into different languages.
INVESTIGATION
In 2022, I carried out an investigation into the UK human remains trade for Live Science. I maintain an active interest in the display, study, and sale of human remains. You can read more about it on my new blog.
